This new species was discovered last month in Borneo and the lucky photographer just presented amazingly nice photos. Even better, one of them is good enough to allow a direct identification of gender differences and the specific fur coat of juveniles.
Scientists are preparing a new expedition in the coming months in order to collect some DNA samples in order to confirm the scientific hypothesis proposed by Hubert Lourd-Métal from the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) which sustains that this is a case of parallel evolution with those homo sapiens kissus discovered only a few years ago in North America.
